The ideal candidate has:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Communications or a related field highly preferred or related experience
  • 3 years of successful fund development experience, marketing, or public relations required
  • Experience with capital campaigns strongly desired
  • Strong network of local development contacts and resources desirable
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with others
Essential Functions:
  • Cultivate and foster relationships with community stakeholders, donors, board members, and business leaders
  • Effectively lead fundraising efforts with foundation, corporate and major donors, including planning, asking, receiving, tracking and stewardship of gifts, donors, and volunteers. This includes capital campaigns as needed
  • Cultivate, solicit and steward prospects across all sectors for charitable support for Encompass as appropriate
  • Initiate, coordinate and evaluate fund development campaigns and other programs, including but not limited to those for agency fundraisers, friend-raisers, capital, endowment, and planned giving
  • Compose fundraising and/or educational communication pieces, including Kaleidoscope, appeals, letters, articles, invitations, press releases, etc.) to foundations, boards, community stakeholders, organizations, etc.
  • Develop and implement a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper engagement with donors
  • Research and prepare written proposals and grant requests to secure support and adequate funding for agency programs and initiative

Salary: $53,776.80 - $77,792.00 per year
