Encompass Early Education and Care, Inc. Kicks Off Public Phase of For the Children: A Campaign to Fully Encompass Families
On November 1 Encompass launched the public phase of For the Children: A Campaign to Fully Encompass Families. This $5 million initiative will build our investment fund to help families access affordable early education and care, support our teachers, and elevate our best-in-classroom experiences. Almost $2.5 million dollars has already been raised. You too can be a part of our next 100 years. Together we can prepare children for a lifetime of success!
“Our first 100 years of providing the highest quality early education and care to local families with young children have been nothing short of spectacular,” says Sue Vincent, Encompass executive director. “We can’t think of a better way to give thanks for the community’s incredible outpouring of support for Encompass for a century as we get started on our next 100 years than to make this announcement on the first day of November, the Month of Thanks.”
“Encompass started in 1919 as a small daytime learning center for young children by the Catholic Woman’s Club as local women entered the workforce to support their families after World War I,” says Denis Hogan, co-chair of the For the Children campaign, along with his wife Irene. “As we celebrate a transformative centennial for Encompass in our community, we look enthusiastically ahead to a brighter future for generations of Encompass students, families, educators and supporters.”
Your gift today has the potential to create a ripple effect of positive change for two generations – the children we serve and their parents. Donations may be directed to affordability of care, teacher support, best-in-classroom experiences, or left unrestricted. Donations may also be invested in our foundation or used for immediate needs. Multi-year pledges are welcomed, as well as estate gifts. Deferred donations are also accepted.
