“I would describe Encompass as a mission-driven organization focused on supporting the whole child and their family, where relationships, quality care, and continuous growth are at the heart of everything we do.”
Nichole Moua has experienced that mission firsthand throughout her journey at Encompass — from teacher to Center Director, Regional Director, and now a member of the Executive Team as Director of Programming & Operations.
When Nichole first came to Encompass at the Bellin Center, she wasn’t sure if early childhood education was the right fit for her. Already holding a degree in education, she soon discovered just how impactful the early childhood field could be — not only for children, but for families and communities. Inspired by that experience, Nichole chose to further her education and earned her 4K licensure in early childhood education. She was then recruited into a 4K Teacher role at the Carol and Robert Bush Center, where her passion for the work continued to grow.
“What’s kept me at Encompass is the strong sense of purpose behind the work and the relationships I’ve built along the way,” Nichole shared. “Being part of an organization that truly prioritizes children and families makes the work meaningful every day.”
One moment that has stayed with her came years after teaching 4K, when a longtime Encompass family shared that their son had named Nichole among the most influential teachers in his life as he prepared to enter high school. “Out of all the educators he had throughout his school years, he remembered me from when I was his 4K teacher at Encompass,” she said.
In her new role, Nichole is excited to support educators and strengthen programs across the organization. “By investing in teachers and building strong, consistent practices, we can create even more positive and meaningful experiences for children and families,” she said. Nichole’s journey reflects both her dedication to children and families and Encompass’ commitment to growing leaders from within. We are proud to welcome her to the Executive Team and excited for the impact her leadership will continue to make.
