Encompass receives crucial grant from Basic Needs Giving Partnership

The Basic Needs Giving Partnership recently awarded $2.5 million to 58 organizations across the Northeastern Wisconsin region that are addressing the root causes of poverty to build thriving, equitable communities in the region. In order to do this, they invest in the following priority areas:

• Early Care & Education: all families have access to timely, affordable, and quality care, education, and support.
• Housing Access: all households have access to timely, safe, affordable, and supportive housing.
• Mental Health: all individuals and families have access to timely, affordable, and quality mental health services.
• Substance Use: all individuals and families have access to timely, affordable, and quality substance use services.

Encompass was grateful to receive a grant of $50,000 that will allow us to serve children and families in our tuition support program. Through community donations and support like this, Encompass can offer families tuition support to help lessen the burden of the cost of care. We do this by offering support based on a percentage of a family’s annual gross household income, ensuring families in need do not pay more than 10-15% of their household income on childcare.
